Now that I am done with my niche selection and competition analysis, I will start my content creation strategy for my niche site.
As I mentioned before, the strategy I’m using for my next niche sites (which is about stock market investing) is different from the previous niche sites that I’ve done.
The reason as I mention in my post Niche Site Experiment 01 is that,
“I will make a website that aims at becoming an authority in its niche.”
“On how to make a website/s that ranks for everything, drives millions of visitors per month, and grows into a sustainable, long-term business that makes 5-6 figures per month.”
My content creation strategy which I don’t claim my own but what I am learning from RankXL Niche Site Course, is to first is create at least 2 pillar articles (with 2000+ words each) targeting the biggest keywords in my selected niche.
I am creating this pillar articles even before I launched my site.
If you are following my niche experiment, you can still do this even if you already have a site by creating a new category on your site or if you don’t have yet, create a pillar article for your site.
This pillar articles will define the quality of my new niche site so I need to make sure that they are massive, well-written, well research posts that would give value to my readers.
I don’t want to start my niche site publishing a couple of mediocre articles that were just a rewrite of some other mediocre articles.
This post will be the one attracting visitors and backlinks (which I will tackle on my future post).
It took me 4 days to write everything, edit it, add images, add links to resources within the article (I have my full time job and can only do this after my work and sometimes at my breaks)
And its fine for me even if it took longer, I want this pillar articles to be well researched.
I’m only doing this on my pillar articles but I won’t go this much detail when I am writing for my inner posts.
My strategy for my inner post would be writing some of them by myself, some I will buy on IWriter and I would be purchasing some PLR articles to0 at EasyPLR.
How do I research and create my Pillar Post?
Since the goal of this niche site experiment is to rank in Google, I will be doing keyword research to find out what else people are searching for then write content for my pillar post about those topics.
When I google for my main keywords, there will be bunch of results that will show up;
Most of them that rank highly do so because of being a high authority site suck but the actual content will be pretty thin.
This is common across most keywords today.
What I do is open them all up and go through them carefully.
This will give me idea of the things that MUST be included in my post and what smaller topics others sites have but others don’t.
What I do is take note of each one of them, and re write them on my own words and base on what I understand and learn from the article.
It’s like telling a friend about something you read, heard or watch.
This is what Ray Higdon taught us in his 3 minute expert course which he called ILT (Invest, Learn, Teach)
I am investing my time to learn about the topic, then I teach what I learn.

Pillar posts can get very long, as I say around 2000+ words, and I organize the content on the page by using table of contents which I use a WordPress plug in called Table of Contents Plus.
